FAQ

What is semi permanent makeup?

Semi permanent makeup is also known as permanent makeup or micro pigmentation.

Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using a state of the art machine that has been specifically designed for the cosmetic industry.

Who will benefit?

Semi permanent makeup is suitable for anyone and everyone! Whether your brows are over plucked, have thinned with age or you want more defined lips, this could be the option for you. Please note some medical/skin conditions and medication are not suitable for semi permanent makeup. If you have any doubts it is always best to seek doctors advice and ask the technician prior to booking an appointment.

How long does it last?

Semi permanent makeup is considered permanent as it cannot be washed off.

The colour will remain visible for 1-3 years. This varies depending on your age, skin type , colour choice and lifestyle.

Aftercare also plays a huge part in the longevity of your brows. For example, constant/excessive sun exposure/UV rays will result in the pigment fading faster, meaning more top up procedures will be required to maintain the colour and definition.

To keep your semi permanent makeup looking fresh it is recommended you get a colour boost every 12 months.

What does a procedure involve?

First and foremost we will have a full consultation, this will either be on the day of the procedure, we will discuss your likes and dislikes of your brow shape/lip colour/eye shape and go through a full colour match to create your perfect look.

The procedures vary in time I suggest giving yourself 2-2.5 hours for the first appointment.

Does it hurt?

Everyone is different but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort is minimal.  The majority of clients say it's not as bad as they expected. I also use a topical anaesthetic to numb the area, minimising discomfort.

*Patch test is required at least 48hrs prior to procedure
